How KEC is installed?

Installation must be done by a license electrician. To do otherwise voids the warranty.
The KEC is attached to the top 220/240 volt breaker/200amp service.

By installing the KEC in this location, you are hitting both sides of the bus bar in your panel
insuring amperage surge protection.

Opening panel   Setting up
Opening service disconnect cover Service disconnect panel removed
Meter "before" reading Insert wire protector in bottom of panel
Thread wires from unit through hole Threading wires
Threading wires Start nut on cable protector
Situate KVAR unit Fastening cable protector
Screw KVAR unit to wall Strip wire ends
Fasten ground lead Fasten two hot leads to 40-amp breaker
Hot leads installed Disconnect cover back on
Turn breaker to the KVAR unit on It's on

   1. Hang KEC unit on wall
   2. Take panel cover off and drill a 7/8 inch hole in corner.
   3. Turn  off top 220/240 breaker
   4. Connect the green wire to grounding bar.
   5. Loosen two screws under breaker.
   6. Slip the two red wires under the two screws and tighten.
   7. Turn breaker back on and replace cover.  
   8. Light should be lit.
